Yes. NoiseWave generates sound entirely on your device. It does not require an internet connection, an account, or any external services.
Yes. NoiseWave is designed to continue playing in the background and through screen lock so it can be used overnight or during long focus sessions.
NoiseWave automatically pauses for phone calls, Siri, alarms, and other audio interruptions. It resumes playback once the interruption ends, if the system allows it.
Yes. When NoiseWave is playing, the volume of other audio sources (notifications, navigation prompts, etc.) is temporarily reduced so you can still hear them.
By default, iOS pauses audio when the active output device (like headphones) is disconnected. NoiseWave follows this system behavior to avoid surprising you with loud audio from the device speaker.
Each preset shapes the frequency spectrum a different way:
You can also drag directly on the spectrum to create any shape you want.
Tap the moon (zZz) icon in the top right to choose a duration. Audio will fade out and stop after the selected time. You can pick a preset length or use the custom hours/minutes picker.
No. NoiseWave does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Yes. Your spectrum shape, color theme, volume, and sleep timer preference are saved locally on your device and restored next time you open the app.
NoiseWave supports iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later.
